Start turning your insights into dollars

Frequently Asked Questions

Thrivable is out to help shape the future of patient-centered care, which cannot be accomplished without your participation. To do this, we collect personal health information from you – which is never sold and secured in a HIPAA-compliant cloud environment with bank-level encryption and access restrictions.

Is Thrivable a scam?

No. Thrivable is a United States based company whose goal is to help shape the future of patient-centered care. We work with some of the largest healthcare companies in the world, developing solutions for diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, mental health, arthritis, and other conditions. By participating in our research activities, you provide insights to these companies and influence the future of patient care. To sweeten the deal, each time you participate in a study you will be financially incentivized, up to $75 per hour.

How much will I be paid for participating in a study?

Studies offer compensation (up to $75 per hour) in the form of points, which can be exchanged for a cash or gift card in $5 increments. Compensation is based on the complexity of the survey and the time required of participants. You will always know what the compensation is prior to agreeing to participate.

Sometimes the incentive is the chance to enter a sweepstakes program rather than receiving direct compensation. Sweepstakes rules and guidelines are provided with the study invitation.

How and when can I cash out my earnings?

You will receive an email invitation to participate in a study whenever the information we have on file for you matches the criteria outlined for the research project. The invitation will always include the nature of the study and the compensation before agreeing to participate.  Each time you do choose to participate in a study you will be financially incentivized, up to $75 per hour, in the form of points. Once you accumulate enough points you can swap them out for cash or gift card in $5 increments.

Is the information I share with Thrivable stored securely and is my identity protected?

Yes. We take our member's privacy seriously. All personal information captured is secured in a HIPAA-compliant cloud environment with bank-level encryption and access restrictions, all survey responses are submitted anonymously, and Thrivable will never sell your information to a third party without consent.

How often will I receive opportunities to participate in research studies?

It varies based on when your information matches the criteria for a study. Some members receive multiple invitations to participate in a study each month, while others may get 3 to 4 invitations each year. If you recently became a member, you may not receive an invitation for up to 8 to 12 weeks.

Am I eligible to become a Thrivable member?

If you live in the United States AND live with, or live with someone, who has any of the conditions list in our form at the bottom of this page you are eligible to sign up. Prior to becoming eligible to receive surveys, we will send you an email to take a more formal screener survey. The information you submit in the screener survey will determine if you are eligible to participate in future research studies. We are continuously adding new conditions to our list, so if you do not see a condition which makes you eligible today, please be sure to check back at a later date.

What types of information would I be asked to share for a study?

Prior to agreeing to participate in a study, you will be sent an email invitation which will include the nature of the study and the compensation. The majority of studies will require you to complete a survey, however some studies  will be in the form of focus groups or one on one interviews to allow you to share your story, insights, and perspectives. Information captured during the study will be used to help companies that design, develop, and deliver new healthcare products, services, and technologies.
